Microsoft Hyper-V Acknowledges Test and Development as a Core Scenario

Over the past several days there has been a lot of industry buzz around the RTM of Microsoft Hyper-V. Microsoft on it’s website has declared Testing and Development as one of the core scenarios supported by Hyper-V. This is not very surprising since testing has been widely acknowledged as an early adopter of virtualization.

Given this trend and the growing list of hypervisors, virtual lab automation applications like VMLogix LabManager have consciously tried to support multiple leading hypervisors available in the industry.

Microsoft is also pushing for the adoption of Hyper-V by hosters via the Microsoft Hyper-V GoLive program. There is also an impressive list of hosters that support the hosting of Windows Server 2008.

Where is your organization with respect to evaluating/adopting Hyper-V? How have your experiences with Hyper-V been in your software labs?
